I started out selling pies and other treats at a rural roadside stand.

The sugar cream pie, which is a secret family recipe, was by far the biggest seller. My husband had a brilliant idea to create a pie filling mix that would be simple & convenient for customers to make on their own. So, I got to work…

After spending over a year on research and development, I finally had created the perfect mix for customers to enjoy! It tastes just like the decadent, silky-smooth pie that customers have been enjoying all these years… And you just add liquid.

Rolling Pin Bakehouse will have samples of pumpkin spice cream and chocolate chip pie this Saturday in downtown Huntington at HomeCraft from Noon-3.

HomeCraft has been a supporter since before we hit retail shelves. We are grateful to have such a wonderful shop to showcase our pie filling mixes.

Making your very own homemade sugar cream pie is so simple!

Just add water and heavy whipping cream, microwave for a few mintues and pour into your favorite pie shell.

You can use a traditional crust and bake for 30 minutes or go even simpler and use a no-bake crust like a graham cracker or stroopwafel crust and let it set up in the refrigerator. Both ways will result in a silky-smooth, gourmet pie.

Last Friday we hosted the Roanoke Fall Festival pie eating contest. There was a lot of pie scarfed down in a mater of minutes. We had some close races.
