Meatloaf Recipe

Now excuse the way mine looks 😂 I know it’s not perfect looking like the ones you would see on here, but it is SO good, and that’s all that matters!

Ingredients:

* 1 lb ground deer
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1 tbsp garlic powder
* 1 tbsp onion powder
* 2 eggs
* Bread crumbs, as needed
* 1/4 cup milk
* 1 small onion, diced
* 2 tsp black pepper
* Your favorite seasonings, to taste

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Add ground deer and ground beef to a large bowl.
3. Add eggs, milk, diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer.
4. Add bread crumbs a little at a time until the mixture comes together and isn’t too wet.
5. Mix everything together until well combined.
6. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish.
7. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the center reaches 160°F.
8. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Don’t have ground deer or don’t eat deer? You can use 2 lbs of ground beef or ground chuck instead. ❤️

🌿 Elephant Ears 🌿

I just love elephant ear plants! Those big, beautiful leaves can make such a statement in the garden. 😍

They love warm weather and plenty of moisture, and once they get going, they can grow BIG! 🌱

These are definitely one of those plants that make you feel like you have a little tropical garden right in your own backyard. 🌴💚

Do y’all grow elephant ears? Are you a fan of the big leaves or do you prefer smaller plants? 😂

Going through my drafts today since it’s been WAY too hot to cook! 🥵😂 So here’s one I had saved to share with y’all!

🍲 Easy Vegetable Beef Soup

This is one of those simple, hearty recipes that you can make on the stovetop or throw in the crockpot and let it cook.

Ingredients:

* 1½ lbs ground beef or venison
* 1–2 cans diced tomatoes
* 1 can tomato sauce
* Chopped onion, to taste
* 4 cups water
* 4 beef bouillon cubes
* Seasoning of your choice
* Diced potatoes, to taste
* Mixed vegetables, to taste

Directions:
Brown your ground beef or venison with the onion and drain.

Bring the water and bouillon cubes to a boil, then add the tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add your meat, mixed vegetables, and diced potatoes. Season it however you like.

Bring it to a boil for about 5 minutes, then turn it down and let it simmer on low/medium for about 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally. Once those potatoes are tender, it’s ready!

You can also throw everything in the crockpot and slow cook it on low for 6–8 hours.

This is definitely one of those recipes you can change up depending on what you have on hand. ❤️

Who else has been avoiding the kitchen because of this heat?! 😂🥵

I LOVE a simple crockpot chicken! ❤️

This is such an easy dinner option, especially for those busy nights when you don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen!

Just take your whole chicken and place it in the crockpot. Add a stick of butter and season with your favorite seasonings.

Cook on LOW for 4–8 hours (mine is usually ready around 4–5 hours).

And the best part? You can use this chicken for SO many things! Chicken salad, chicken sandwiches, casseroles, soups, or just serve it with your favorite sides.

Simple, easy, and perfect for those busy nights! 🍗❤️.

I bought this cute little planner from Dollar Tree, and it has been so handy for meal planning! 🥰

I’ve been trying to stay a little more organized with our meals for the week, and having everything written down makes it so much easier.

Plus, who doesn’t love a good Dollar Tree find?! 😂❤️

Do you meal plan for the week?

🌱 Our little pickings ❤️

Our tomatoes have been struggling this year, but they’re still over 8 feet tall and blooming and producing like crazy! 🍅 I’ll definitely take that as a win! 😂

Our beans have done their job and then some! They have absolutely thrived this year. 🫘

And our peppers… well, they are finally growing! 😂 I’m not sure what happened with them this year, but they finally decided to get with the program! 🌶️

Our squash is pretty much done for the season, and our eggplants are finally starting to produce too! 🍆

Next year, I’ll definitely be going bigger, but this year has been such a fun season of learning. There have been some successes, some struggles, and plenty of lessons along the way. ❤️

I’m just thankful to be out here learning, growing, and enjoying every bit of it! 🌱❤️
