Kae’s Chickens

Kae’s Chickens I am a 7 year old that loves chickens. With my mom’s help, we order chicks and sell them at markets. We also hatch out our own orpington crosses.

I handle every chicken so they are supper friendly and love hugs and cuddles.

Another Gilmanor in the books. It was a great sale. Kae took 50 birds and sold 36. Her best sale at Gilmanor thus far! We had a very small shower that lasted only a few minutes but it was a great day.

Now just waiting on chicks to hatch and we will start growing out for the fall. Thanks for all the support and we hope you love your new birds.

Gilmanor spring 2025 let’s go.

Happy spring everyone. Sorry we have gone quite these past few months, unfortunately my father fell in August of last year and due to the fall had to have an emergency craniotomy. Which landed him in the hospital for 10 days and then 11 more days of extensive physical therapy at a rehabilitation center.

With him being incapacitated, we needed to move up to my parents farm, which is located in Haymarket, Virginia. The kids were enrolled in school up here and IAm helping around the farm while he heals. Now back to everyone’s burning question.

WE DO HAVE CHIKS!!!!

We are for the moment running our business and hatching eggs/chicks out of my parents barn. We also come to Roanoke often because my husband had to stay home due to work. So if you want a chick please message and fallow our page because I will post what is available and when we will visiting Roanoke and can bring them with us. We will also be moving back to Roanoke in June after the school year is over and will resume attending the local swaps.

Again sorry for not responding to messages as fast as some would like. I am taking care of lots of land, animals, kids and parents, we will try to respond as fast as possible.

Update: we are coming down and will bring what we have available. We will also even though there is not a swap happening this weekend at the Hollins tractor supply we will still go and set up for a three hour period on Saturday 8am - 11:30am. If you want to know pricing please message me.

Good evening friends Kae and I will be heading to Roanoke this weekend for a visit and can bring the last of her grow outs of this year. They are all about six months old and they are all Orpington crosses. We will also be able to come to the Hollins tractor supply swap if it is going on this weekend. Sorry I have lost track of what day it is and if this is the weekend for that swap.

It has been very hard to answer messages with all of the extra responsibilities I have now. We are still helping my parents on their farm in Haymarket. I am the nurse, cleaner, farmhand, daughter, wife, mom, and keeper of chickens.

If anyone is interested in one I can take a picture of the group and if there is a lot of interest they will be at the sale on Saturday

It has been a long time since we posted. Kaes pop pop Fell 2 months ago and had to have a craniotomy. With that being said, we’ve had to move up to her grandparents farm with all her birds. We are still able to make it to GilManor with the 96 🤦🏼‍♀️ beautiful bird she has grown out. We are in field C spot to #222. If you make it to Gill Manor, stop by and say hello. She has done a great job this year and she has worked hard to grow out some beautiful, friendly, healthy birds. She has been waiting for this all year and is excited to wake up early tomorrow and start selling some chickens.
