I love my girls too.
CowGirl has won in every show she entered. Best Pullet, Best Hen, Best in Show Female, she is a natural! And produces great show birds.
Only one time did she not win.
It was a puzzle why she wouldn't stand or do her usual struttin. The puzzle was solved 30 seconds after she went back to her cage and laid an egg!!

Bandit is a natural on the table winning him several Best Cockerel awards and several Reserve Best Male awards.
He is gentle and jumped on my shoulder by himself.

ENCHILADA---another favorite. Enchilada is soo handsome but he does not like the table. He hits the table, flaps his wings, crows and immediately begins to peck the table....does not score well because of the pecking.
However---he and his beautiful hen, Margaretta, make beautiful "Show babies"!

Charlie is my all time favorite Rooster. I hatched him, sold him, then bought him back.
He has been worth it, winning many times including Best Cockerel and Best in Show Male at several shows. ❤

Officer commands the table, winning Best Cockerel at several shows. Everyone loves his color, so do I.

History

2016 Fort Worth Stock Show was my introduction to the amazing, beautiful--world’s smallest chicken--SERAMAS!

The appeal was multi-faceted. These little birds came with people who were willing to share their knowledge, and I needed it. I was almost a novice about raising chickens and had not found anyone willing to help me learn. Now, I had found mentors.

One of my main reasons for joining NTSC was to make new friends, I did--I have! I love the camaraderie and it literally goes across the nation.

It didn’t take long for me to realize that I could feed a show bird as easily as I could feed a pet bird. I bought my first Show Birds and went to work. I was told to go to as many shows as possible and “work with your birds.” I didn’t know what “work with your birds” meant, so--- I built relationships with my birds and they responded. Yelps, cowbells, mealworms and lots of time paid off. One win and I was hooked. The first ribbons were precious to me and I still treasure every one.
