We will be closed Tuesday, August 4, in honor of Gordy as we gather to celebrate his life and say our final goodbyes. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will live on within these walls and throughout the community.

Today we mourn the loss of Gordy Lindenfelser.

For more than 45 years, Gordy dedicated his life to Hackenmueller’s. He devoted himself to preserving the quality, craftsmanship, and personal service that generations of families came to know and trust, while leaving a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

When it came time to pass Hackenmueller’s on to its next chapter, Gordy placed his trust in us. We will never stop being grateful for that gift and that responsibility.

Every day we unlock these doors, we’re reminded that we’re not just running a meat market, we’re caring for something Gordy dedicated his life to. We will do everything we can to honor that trust by preserving the quality, service, and sense of community that defined his life’s work.

Our deepest condolences go out to Gordy’s wife, family, friends, former employees, and the countless customers whose lives he touched.

Thank you, Gordy, for believing in us. We are honored to carry your legacy forward, and we’ll never forget the trust you placed in us. Rest easy.
