We wanted to take a moment and apologize for not being able to provide dinners at Sue's Café yesterday and today.

To make up for it, we are planning to do dinners at Sue's Café next Friday & Saturday as well as the following weekend as planned! So September 4th & 5th as well as the 11th & 12th. For anything beyond that, please keep on eye on Sue's Cobscook bay cafe page. That way you will also see all her delicious specials! 😋

Dear Washington County, patrons, friends and family,

This is not easy for us.

Because of recent developments we decided to stop dinner services for Sue’s Cobs-cook Bay Cafe for now. This is not because of one any particular reason, but many that lead us to a breaking point after last year.

What happened?

In the end we received the straw that broke the camels back. Nobodies fault, but an unfortunate conclusion to a 3 years phase of trying to hold our life together and never getting ahead.

Since we have been given the opportunity to work dinners for Sue’s cafe, things have been going up for us, not only because of Philipp’s food, or Myka’s cakes and hosting, but because Susan Goodrich has been going out of her way to make it work for us! She has been a great mentor and companion in this endeavor and has shown us what it means to have a boss that cares, sometimes more about others than herself.

Thank you Sue! You have a gigantic heart of gold and we see it! Thank you for being with us and helping us through these trying times! You have been a light in our life’s when we needed it the most!

It was not only Susan that came to our aid after last year, friends and family, new and old, have gathered and caught us in a time of hardship. Without all of you we wouldn’t have a choice right now! This includes every kind word, every smile, when a plate was set in front of you, every chance that was taken on us when stepping into the restaurant, not knowing what to expect, gave us the energy and motivation to not give up!

All the “real world” pieces are there, but we always struggled to piece them together in a system that we have little understanding for. Now family has assembled and is helping. Without judgment, just with love and concern. They are giving us the help and guidance that we need and that we should have asked for a long time ago. It is crazy what you are putting yourself through just to not bother the ones that you love the most/that love you the most.

We will continue working with Sue, we will get our farm going, we will finally have time to finish our cabin.

We will avoid Facebook and electronics in general for the next little while, probably till we are able to give you a solid update/road-map.

Thank you all, stay safe, care about the people around you, ask for help when you are breaking, and see you when the Whale takes flight again,
