Our first honey harvest today was a small one, but we are still proud our hives have made it one year on Krchak Farm.

I currently have five to six dozen fresh eggs. My girls are laying like crazy! 4.00 per dozen. I can bring them to you if it is local.

We had a bit of help from Brandon Hargraves of B’s Bees on our first ever hive inspection.

Findings include the following:
- at some point one of our hives has requeened
- bees like more wax in the frames
- we need to check them more frequently through the warmer months.
- we have two healthy thriving hives.
