Black Gold Genetics, LLC is a progressive registered Angus seed stock producer. Headquartered in Robinson, Illinois, Black Gold Genetics began in April of 2014. The Jones family has owned the picturesque property for over 13 years. Comprised of both cattle and grain, the Black Gold Genetics name comes from the fifth-generation crude oil and natural gas business that remains in the family today. Th

e Robinson location is one of multiple farm operations dedicated to the Black Gold program and is where the majority of ET work and AI utilization takes place. Angus cattle roam the rolling hills of the +1,000-acre ranch located in Southern Illinois. As the herd size continued to grow, Black Gold Genetics seized the opportunity to expand by merging with Missing S Angus of Brownstown, Illinois. In the fall of 2015, Black Gold Genetics once again expanded its operation by developing a Bluegrass Division. This new endeavor, located in Crestwood, KY, encompasses an existing 1800-acre operation formerly known as Taylor Cattle Farm. This new division has become a focal point for marketing and sale preparation for Black Gold Genetics.
