We’ve just scheduled our first fish sale of the fall season!😄🍂

HFF will be at Lyssy & Eckel in Poth on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 12:00-3:00PM.

A price sheet will be posted/mailed out in the next few weeks. This is our BIGGEST location and fastest to sell out so be sure to place your order as soon as you get your flyer! 🐟🚚💨

Just a reminder — summer is slower paced here due to South Texas’ extreme heat and our current operating hours vary.

Don’t hesitate to call or text if you’re interested in fish/ chemicals/ lake services or have questions but please make sure to speak with someone before driving out to the hatchery as we work by appointment (just like your doctor or barber), and are only seining ponds/stocking the barn every few weeks because of the high temps.

Whether you have a diffuser/ fountain/ or windmill be sure to double check your aeration is operating properly. Here are some reasons to keep your pond circulating:

•The most important reason - it adds oxygen, warm water holds less oxygen and at night this becomes a problem as vegetation AND fish are fighting for it
•Lessens your chances of fish kills during extreme weather
•Lessens the chance of harmful algae blooms
•Improves overall water quality
