Rangers Creed Whiskey started 13 years before we ever sold a bottle.

In 2012, I was a young Sergeant in 3rd Ranger Battalion. A twenty-something kid who had spent most of his adult life chasing one goal: earning the privilege of serving in what I believed was the greatest unit in the United States Army.

Then my first son was born.

Everything changed.

As much as I loved the Regiment, I realized I loved being a dad more. During my first deployment in Battalion, I decided it would also be my last. I was leaving the Army to focus on being a present father.

What I wasn’t prepared for was how hard that transition would be.

When you’ve spent years chasing one purpose, losing it leaves a bigger hole than you expect. There were some dark years trying to figure out who I was outside of that uniform.

Thirteen years later, I found myself on a charity ruck march along Lake Michigan raising awareness for veteran su***de. I had recently lost two Ranger buddies to su***de, so this one was personal.

During that ruck, I noticed a guy wearing a hat from a Ranger-owned company I recognized. I complimented it as I passed him.

That comment turned into a conversation. The conversation lasted a few miles. And those few miles changed the direction of my life.

Hearing what he was building and why lit a fire in me I hadn’t felt since my twenties training to earn that tan beret.

I knew I had found my next mission.

In true Sua Sponte fashion, I went all in.

American whiskey has always brought people together. Around campfires, at reunions, during celebrations and in remembrance of those who aren’t sitting at the table anymore.

Then it clicked.

Build great American whiskey. Bring people together. And use it to support the veteran organizations doing incredible work in our communities.

That became Rangers Creed.

Thirteen years after taking off the uniform, I finally found another mission worth chasing.

Rangers Creed Whiskey.
Whiskey for Warfighters.

And we’re just getting started. 🇺🇸
