Happy Earth Day!!

Today we’re celebrating the land that sustains us, the animals that bless it, and the work we get to do each day to steward creation well.

Fittingly, we welcomed a beautiful new heifer calf this afternoon—born right here on our pastures, just in time to remind us of what Earth Day is all about: new life, healthy soil, clean air, and a deep connection to the land and the creator.

We’re committed to regenerative practices that give back to the earth more than we take, so families like yours can enjoy wholesome, pasture-raised food for generations to come.

Welcome to the world, little one!
Yesterday brought us something extra special here at Grindstone Pastures Farm—a brand new silver belted heifer calf! This fluffy bundle is already stealing hearts and sticking close to mom as they get settled in.

There’s something magical about new life on the farm—fresh beginnings, strong instincts, and the promise of what's to come. We’re feeling extra thankful today for healthy calves and watchful mamas. The protective mommas are my favorite 😉.

Mark 16:5-7

5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.
6 But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
7 But go, tell His disciples--and Peter--that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."

The very purpose of this Easter weekend reminds us, no matter what we face today, what we’ve been through, or what uncertainties tomorrow may hold, Christ is risen and is our Hope. He conquered death, He makes all things new.

He has risen! He has risen indeed!

He breathes new life, so that we can live…free. You can try to bury Power, but it won’t stay there. You can try to bury Truth, but it is not dead. You can try to bury Love, but it cannot be contained.

God’s not dead. And we’re not alone. Not ever. He lives! May we allow that truth to soak in deeply as we live our lives especially today, RESURRECTION DAY.

John 11:25

25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

“It’s Friday - Jesus is praying - Peter’s a sleeping - Judas is betraying - But Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - Pilate’s struggling - The council is conspiring - The crowd is vilifying - They don’t even know - That Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - The disciples are running like sheep without a shepherd - Mary’s crying - Peter is denying - but they don’t know - That Sunday’s a comin.

The old pastor raises his voice a little and picks up a little speed.

It’s Friday - The Romans beat my Jesus - They robe Him in scarlet - They crown Him with thorns - But they don’t know - That Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - See Jesus walking to Calvary - His blood dripping - His body stumbling - And His spirit’s burdened - But you see, it’s only Friday - Sunday’s comin.

It’s Friday - The world’s winning - People are sinning - And evil’s grinning.

The pastor is raising his voice and the crowd participates.

It’s Friday, (they say) The soldiers nail my Savior’s hands to the cross - They nail my Savior’s feet to the cross - And then they raise him up- Next to criminals.

🌱🌷 Spring's Arrival: A Farm's Awakening 🌷🌱

Hey there, Farm Friends! We've been on a weather rollercoaster lately, haven't we? With warm days teasing us, then a surprise snowfall, followed by another burst of warmth, it's been a wild ride. But amidst these twists and turns, one thing is clear: spring is on its way, and we're ready for it! 🎢🌞

As the sun hangs a bit longer in the sky and the air carries a hint of warmth, we're feeling the buzz of excitement here on the farm. The shift from winter to spring is like nature's magic trick, promising new growth and fresh starts. 🌱

We're also wrapping up our winter lambing season, a time filled with the joys and challenges of bringing new life into the world. The sight of lambs frolicking in the fields is a sure sign that spring is just around the corner. 🐑🌿

As we eagerly anticipate the start of the growing season, imagining our pastures turning green, our animals happily grazing, and our orchards bursting into bloom, we're also mindful that winter might have one last hurrah up its sleeve, and a frosty reminder could be on the cards. ❄️🌬️

But we're ready. Ready for any surprise chills, ready to embrace the changing seasons and all the wonders each new day brings on the farm. Stick around as we share more about our farm life journey and the beauty of nature's rhythm. Here's to the magic of spring and the promise of new beginnings! 🌼🌱
