This! I often realize that drivers don’t know this. I once had a guy yell at me, “Jeez lady, I’m doing like 30 miles per hour!” As he passed my horse on the roadside. A direct impact at 30 because you scared the horse, he reared and smashed your windshield equals death for rider, driver, and equine. Be smart and safe and slow the $&&@! down when you see animals in the road!

Are you aware of the Highway code changes. When you see a horse on a road, you should slow down to a maximum of 10 mph. Be patient, do not sound your horn or rev your engine. When safe to do so, pass wide and slow, allowing at least 2 metres of space.
