Farm fresh eggs available!
Last summer we experimented with turkeys for the first time, this “experiment” gave us 4 hens that soon became our new “pets”. We ended up buying a breed known for show or pets, but our pets have recently started to lay eggs! With that said we have done a little research into turkey eggs:
1. Turkeys only lay about 100 eggs a year. So they are rare compared to chicken eggs.
2. They are great for baking. They contain higher fat content, which adds more yolk and richer flavors to your baked goods.
3. Turkey eggs pack more protein. Great for athletes and flour products.
4. Eggs are bigger. 1 turkey egg = 1.5-2 chicken eggs
Our own taste tests have shown that there isn’t a single taste difference between turkey and chicken eggs. We also have unwashed pullet eggs aswell
