Good morning. With this heat I decided to not put anything out on the farm stand. However, I do have fresh romaine, eggs, peony jelly, and lilac jelly available. Comment if interested.

Hello everyone. The farm stand will be closed until after the Fourth of July. Our daughter’s graduation party was last weekend(I forgot to post in the frenzy of getting things ready), and my mom is in town until the 26th. Then we will be headed north for the fourth. See you again in mid July.

Butterflies need more than pretty flowers 🦋 A few things I like to remember:
🐛 Host plants feed caterpillars, so chewed leaves are not always a bad thing.
🌿 Milkweed is especially important if you want to support monarchs.
🌸 Nectar plants like coneflowers, asters, and goldenrod help adult butterflies.
☀️ Sunny spots work best because butterflies love warmth.
🍂 I leave some stems standing longer at the end of the season for wildlife.
A butterfly garden feels more natural when it’s allowed to be a little imperfect 🌼

Preserving spring onions for the winter is so easy. One of my favorite ways to do this is to slice them up, sauté them in a bit of butter and olive oil, and then pack into freezer bags to store in the freezer until I want them.
