Beck's Family Farm

Beck's Family Farm Beck's Family Farm has been in the family since 1906. We raise Registered and Commercial Polled Hereford and American British White Park cattle.

We grow alfalfa, oats, and corn for our cattle. We offer breeding females, show calves and freezer beef.

We didn't get any pictures of baling hay from Friday or Saturday. But, we had a couple of action shots cutting it Thursday night.

After baling yesterday, we divided and conquered! Gary got more of the willow tree cleaned up from last weekend. In the mean time the show crew headed off to the fairgrounds; the stall is ready for move in Tuesday night!

Not what I was expecting the 1:30 phone call this morning to be about. The willow tree that has stood in the farm house front yard for years, split and was in the lane of traffic. Roadway was clear by 3, now to clean up the rest. Fortunately, no one was hurt!

Little bit of everything going on today. Hoof work this morning with Roen Hoof Trimming, LLC. Then we had the opportunity to demo a loader tractor to move our oat bales out of the field in Bohners Lake.

This afternoon we will be working on the show string, getting them ready for Racine County Fair! 11 days until our favorite week of the year🎡🌽🐮

Had both machines going today, knocked down the last of first crop! The rain showers and thunderstorms we had late June, early July brought standing water. We could not get in these fields because of it. We actually started second crop before finishing first!

Thank goodness we have a/c for when we bale it later this week. Hot, steamy weather is on deck; usually is for Waukesha County Fair.

We had a big milestone to celebrate yesterday. Gary Sr. and Joni celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! After finishing baling, we were able to get together at St.Thomas for the dueling pianos. They played their wedding song, not a dry eye in the place. Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!💕
