Yesterday was the first pick up day of our first ever CSA here on the farm!

It was so heartwarming to see how excited all of you were about our farm share program and getting food that is grown local here in Rochester. We’re so honored to serve all of you in this community.

Our second pick up day of the week is Saturday and it’s definitely not too late to jump on board and become one of our founding CSA members! We also still have cut flower subscriptions available for the season.

On another note, we are interested in partnering with some other local growers and producers here on the southcoast to supplement our shares with more than just what we are growing here this season. So if you are a local grower or producer or you know someone who might be a good fit to work with us, let us know!

It’s been a very busy few weeks here at East Over!

Thank you again to everyone who has become Founding Members of our CSA!

We are planning to start share pickups the week of June 14th. Members will have the option of Tuesdays or Saturdays for their share pickups.

We’ve been transplanting like crazy these past two weeks. All our tomatoes are now in beds as well as all of our cucumbers. Zucchini is all planted with Yellow Summer Squash getting ready to go in its bed. Lots of Lettuce and Kale has been transplanted. We’ve seeded more Carrots and Radishes. Our Beets are coming along great.

On the flower side of things, Sunflowers are getting big already. Dahlias have all been planted and Zinnias have been transplanted into beds. All of our Lillies are starting to bud and we have lots of other beauties to include in our cut flower arrangements.

Oh, and we got chickens! So expect East Over Farm Eggs very soon!

Yesterday, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Dominique the Donkey.

He’s been a part of our farm family for 20 years and he will be terribly missed, especially by his brother, Silas 🥺

He always let Silas go in front and he brought up the rear, even though he was the older brother.

With our growing season well underway, I wanted to start giving weekly updates about what’s happening here at East Over Farm.

First off, let me say a huge thank you to everyone who has become members of our CSA already! Your support means everything. If you haven’t bought a share yet, it’s not too late.

Our plan this first season is to be able to feed about 40 families with our garden. If all goes as we hope, we plan to scale that up next year.

In the ground already we’ve got Arugula, Carrots, Radishes, Beets, Sunflowers and Dahlias. Not to mention our perennial flower bed is exploding from all the things we planted last year.

Lots of babies from our grow room have been moved outside to start preparing to be put in the ground this weekend. Lettuce Mix, 2 types of Cucumbers, Basil, and 5 different types of Tomatoes.

Still in our grow room we have tons more of our Lettuce Mix, Kale, Zucchini, 3 types of Basil, Zinnias, Snapdragons, Garlic Chives, Purple Cauliflower, and even more Tomatoes.

So we’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us as we prepare to transplant hundreds of our babies out into the garden!

Our Kids Summer Fun Program with Miss Tess and Miss Erin is back for another year!
- 9am to 1 pm Mon-Fri (please pack a picnic lunch)
- June 29 - July 2nd
- July 13th - 17th
- Ages 4 & up!

Outdoor farm fun that includes games, relay races, team building, arts and crafts, gardening, special themed days and plenty of time working with your favorite donkeys and horses. Learn horsemanship skills, safe handling, grooming, and even get to paint a pony.

We SOLD OUT last year so don’t wait to Register; space is limited!

Please note Week 1 (June 29- July 2) is 4 days because of the observed holiday on July 3rd. Week 2 (July 13-17 is 5 days).
