As many of you know, we unexpectedly lost Corey Hummel, one of our Ye Olde family members, on July 12th.
Corey joined our crew in March of 2025, and quietly became a favorite of many of our regular customers. He had calm and kind manner, always trying to find a way to say “yes” to our customers as he helped them, whether he came out from behind the counter to help them find something they were looking for, or cutting and packing up just the right steak or chop from our case. We all knew Corey cared about our guests, and this made us all care about Corey in the short time we were lucky enough to work with him.
We're really going to miss Corey, as we know many of our customers will as well. We're certain Corey would want everyone to take the time to share with others the same kindness and warmth he showed to all of us. A lovely reminder to take a minute to tell the people in your life that you love them and remind them how much they mean to you.
Corey’ Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 7th in his hometown of Leroy, MN. Details can be found in the comments.
