A few updates for everyone!

We'll get the sad news out of the way: Our mascot, Lady Spaz (the one in the banner) passed away last November at the age of 23. She has been sorely missed this past year.

Onto the good news!

Both of our stallions will be available for live cover after the new year. The first one is Gunner (Silver Gunner, 16-10190) out of Lady Spaz (Silver Fiddler, 97-55513) and Legend's Top Gun (95-46622). The second is Prince (The Chocolate Prince, 14-100166) out of Chocolatier (07-93915) and Rio Rose (04-83027). This will be Gunner's first breeding year, so we hope to see some of his get on the ground by next year.

Training has slowed down at this time, due to several circumstances this year, though at this time it's primarily because Washington has entered into its rainy season. Once things start to dry out (at least a little bit) we will be opening up for one-on-one lessons and horse training once again. Anyone interested, please give us a call during daylight hours. Even if we're not doing it now, we can always schedule a meet-and-greet or future lessons.

That's all we have for now. We hope everyone enjoys their holiday season and we'll look forward to hearing from anyone in the area that ends up with that vaunted Christmas Pony.

As some of you know, Gray Fox Ranch has changed locations rather drastically. Once we are settled in, we will resume our normal operations, but our previous Texas clients should be aware that we no longer reside in Texas.

Sorry for the slow updates, folks! It's been a wet and rainy winter, but things are starting to get busy this spring!

And, aside from the rain, it has been an absolutely wonderful year.

To start, we picked up our new MFT stallion, "The Chocolate Prince", from Heavens Gait Farm (which is owned by Jaime Whiteaker). Prince is out of Jaime's Chocolatier and Rio Rose. I can't explain to you how excited we are to have this little guy with us.

We have had four foals on the ground thus far this year, with one more coming, including our very first colts AND our very first paint foal. First, our new Haflinger had a beautiful Haflinger filly on the 9th of April. Then, barely two days later, Stormy and Sweetie Pie both had colts, a sorrel and a palamino, respectively.

And earlier today, I was able to witness Pawnee's first baby, an absolutely stunning palamino paint.

Rip is due to have her own foal any day now. All of the foals mentioned (besides the Haflinger) are full-blood Missouri Fox Trotters, out of the named mares and sired by Jackson's Quest for Gold.

Pictures will be posted as soon as we get a couple of nice days and I can brush everyone down.

As far as the website is concerned, it's finally up fully (though it could probably use a bit more color), and we'll slowly be adding updated pictures of everyone (again, as weather permits). If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out (www.grayfoxranch.com).

Hope everyone is having and continues to have a wonderful spring!

Gray Fox Ranch was opened in 2012 in Huntsville, Texas. Our goal is to provide the nations top gaited horses and mules. We ever strive to improve both our stock and training techniques.

We've got a website started! It's still in early construction stages, but we've got it planned out and have some good people helping with it.

Go check it out.

Our quarter horse, Gypsy, has just foaled within the past two hours. The foal is a very dark-colored filly (as far as we can tell at night with flashlights). Pictures will be taken in the morning and posted when possible.

The father is our fox trotter stallion, Barkley.

This foal was expected during the week of the 19th of September, so this baby is about three weeks earlier than expected, and as such, will be making a prompt visit to the vet, probably on Monday or Tuesday. Updates will be posted.
