Salem Glen is a family-owned and operated boutique winery specializing in small batches of wine made from regionally grown grapes. Our winery was established in 2006 on an old dairy farm in the Zumbro River valley, southwest of Rochester, Minnesota. The sunny, fertile, rolling hills surrounding the farm are well suited for growing grapes that make great wine.

Summer is flying by, and with all the heat, the grapes are ripening earlier than usual—and the deer and turkeys have definitely taken notice! We’ve been scrambling to get nets on the vines to protect this year’s crop as we head toward harvest.

The grapes are ripening fast this year! 🍇 We’ll be starting our ripeness testing this weekend as we begin planning our harvest dates.

It’s been a bit of a scramble getting all the nets in place to keep the deer, turkeys, and other hungry visitors out of the vineyard! 🦌🦃

Stop out this weekend to see how the vineyard is progressing. And if you’re interested in joining us for one of our harvest events, send us an email at [email protected] if you haven’t already. We’ll keep you posted as the picking dates take shape!
