Excited to join Onalaska's Farm Fresh Market tomorrow 8am-1pm.

Fresh pasture-raised chicken to fill your freezer and dinner plates.

We also are taking preorders for Thanksgiving Turkeys available after Oct 10th.

It’s not perfect, I admit. And unloading 230 chicks at 1030pm, finally getting done at 1130pm is not my ideal night.

The rain, the unexpected events that came the last few days left me no time to prepare. Some things have been very last minute around here with Terry working long hours and a baby.

Fire hazard? Maybe.

Will it work for tonight yes.

I’m just grateful Ashley Blaeser Farms was able to drop them off while we were unexpectedly in the cities today.

This is our last batch available after Nov 9th, so they will get lots of apples.

Jac’s daily walk about around the fences to report back to me if any chickens, turkeys or ducks are out. She started doing this completely unprompted but I appreciate it!
Even when she comes running back out of breath to tell me that “a ton” of chickens are out (it was like 7 of 260) 😂

Free protein and entertainment!

Gosh the flies are bad this year 😩

The benefits of checking fences at night. To the naked eye it just looks like a line of fog across the sky. Its cool what the long exposure on the phone picks up, could not imagine a real camera 🤩

We ran 200ft of cords to give the birds light at night this past week so they could eat when it’s cooler at night. It hasn’t been “hot” but the humidity 🥵

Moved a few days later then intended Thursday, but they are all finally big enough to start moving down the field. Chickens are next!

Chicken tenders available starting Sept 26th 🥳

Yes rocks in the waterer.. they aren’t that smart that young, kind of like the turkeys 😆

I mean how young is too young to move turkeys? 3.5weeks? She slept through the whole thing.

Thanksgiving 🦃 is moving outside early. It is just way 🥵 to keep them in the brooder coop any longer. They are fully feathered and its virgin ground with a ba-jillion grasshoppers.

That grain bin way out in the back of the last picture on the CRP is their destination in a month. They will be ready after Oct 9th.

Welcome to Elpis Farms!

To keep it simple the RedC Farms brand is becoming Elpis Farms. Why the rebrand? We are growing, maturing and following the call with a new mission.

While our main focus is going to be on duck meat products, we still promise to have some chicken and turkey products available for our customers. We are just flipping production to be more duck focused then chicken focus in the short term. Long term goal is to bring chicken production back up as well.

I think you all know that I love ducks, like they are just my favorite of all time, so this probably shouldn't come as a surprise 😅

This is going to be a work in progress over this coming 2026 season, but please stick with us! There is so many exciting things we want to accomplish and have you be apart of.
