Scapes are great when drizzled with oil, topped with salt & pepper and baked in the oven. This is the one vegtable that all of the kids eat and go back for more!

We have spring garlic which is much more mild that your cured garlic cloves, and spring walking onions available.

It is Garlic Scape time. If you know, you know!
If you don't know, you should try them.
Garlic Scapes can be cooked like asparagus, used in stir fry, pickled or canned. Cooked scapes are good as toppings on burgers, brats or stand alone.
Scapes will be available for approximately 2 weeks and then they will be done till next year.
The stand will be stocked by 1pm this afternoon.

We are at the Freeport Illinois Farmers Market till 11:00 today.
We have garlic scapes, spring onions, pepper plants, dried and fresh bouquets, flower plants, herbs plants, and pine berry strawberry plants.

We have many vendors with baked goods, handmade crafts, wood carved art, homemade wooden home goods, farm fresh eggs, spring veggies and handmade soaps, outdoor home decor and someone to discuss disaster recovery with you.

Stop down and get all your goodies today!

We have pepper plants for sale.
Ben will be available at the farm from 10:30-3:00 today, Sunday May 24th to help with purchasing pepper plants.
Sweet pepper plant: Amish sweet, Yellow monster, Ozark giant, Etudia orange, Leysa, Purple beauty and Ajvarski.
Hot peppers plants: Purple and red Cayenne, Lemon drop, brown and large green Jalapeño, Pablano, Paprika

Asparagus ($4 lb) and spring walking onions ($1 bunch) are available on the stand. Rhubarb will be available Saturday afternoon and Sunday by request. To reduce waste we will pick Rhubarb when requested for $4lb.

We have asparagus available on the stand $4 lb.It is finally starting to come come in fast and heavy. We are hoping by the end of the week it will be heavy enough to have available daily. We should have some available at least every other day this week.

We will be at the Freeport Illinois Farmers Market tomorrow 7-11am. We will have rhubarb, fresh lilac bouquets, dried flower bouquets, resin flower jewelry, and miniature cards with dried flowers just in time for Mothers Day!
