Muscadine season is over for the year!

Thank you so much to all of our friends (both existing and new) for your patronage this year. We have enjoyed and appreciated all of you!

ATTENTION!

Muscadine fans ..better hurry! Come on out and get some late season muscadines while you can!

* September is peak muscadine month and it is nearly over! There should be a few hanging on and still available the next week or so.

* Since we are near the end of season, quantities are limited and a bit harder to find...but they are there, especially for smaller amounts (pts, qts, perhaps a gallon or more, depending on the weather and customer traffic.

* We only have a few of the late season varieties left to pick.

*Be sure and lift the canopy of leaves and vines as the muscadines hold close under the main vine.

* There are still grapes scattered all about if you are looking for small quantities and can take your time to look around.

For easier picking, look for:

* Black grapes(purple):
- Nesbitt or
- Noble (a smaller
grape)
* These are located
in the rows by the
playground.

* Bronze grapes:
- Pineapple (also by
playground)
- Fry

*The early to mid season Darlene is history for this year 😢. Darlenes are a customer favorite! Come early in the season for those next year!

*Be sure and lift the canopy of leaves and vines and LOOK UNDERNEATH as the muscadines hold close under the main vine.

* It has been a good year!

Wow, September is over halfway over already, and we are moving into "late season". Come and get some while you can!

This means that the early varieties are done for the year, but the later varieties are still available especially in smaller quantities. (You might plan to spend some time if you are looking for several gallons.)

We expect to have some available through the first week or so in October, depending on weather an customer traffic.

Tips:
* Try the vines a little further away from the pay station..check those closer to Gordon Road (the ones closest to the pay station get gone early)

* Try the vines closest to the blueberry patch and the ones near the old barn beside the play area

Good morning! Come on out and pick some muscadines! Get 'em while you can 😊. We are about mid season, so a lot have been picked but are still A LOT available.

You have the fun of looking just a little harder, especially if you are looking for larger quantities 😊. Here are some tips and some photos:

* Look at vines a bit further away from the pay station/parking area. (The ones closest go the fastest.)

* Remember to lift the vines to see the grapes underneath the canopy .

* Please keep in mind that muscadines do NOT ripen once picked, so remember to check for ripeness! If they are GREEN, leave them to ripen on the vine.

* Grapes should feel a little soft when gently squeezed. Feel free to sample to check before picking.

Almost time! Officially opening on August 24th! Lots of muscadines will be ready!

U-pick opening day for our muscadine grapes is set for August 24!

Prices are $2/pint, $4/quart, or $16/gallon.

The pay station is at the shed, where you'll also find each type of picking container.

We accept cash, card, Apple Pay, and CashApp. If paying with cash, please bring exact change since the pay station is self-serve.

Both bronze and purple varieties will be available.
