All our seeds are purchased from Seed Savers Exchange in Iowa. Transplants are started in our basement using organic seed starter from Fox Farms. We practice sustainable agricultural practices, and sell all our produce within a 100 mile radius of our farm. All our vegetables are pesticide free, contain no synthetic fertilizer (just compost). Our manure/compost comes from a local horse farm located
just a few miles from our farm. We practice companion planting, crop rotation, composting and homemade bug deterrents made from garden produce. If you have any questions about our farming practices, please feel free to ask. We use ABSOLUTELY ZERO pesticides. We believe in fostering populations of beneficial insects, microorganisms and pollinators on our farm. We want to leave our land in a better condition for future generations. Current selling locations will be Maryville Farmers Market, Nebraska City Farmers Market, Mound City Farmers Market, Fairfax Community Hospital Farmers Market, 610 State St. Main St. Rock Port, MO. Check out our wall for selling times and locations. A portion of our profits will be donated to the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City. Our donations will be allocated towards providing new parents with support and educational materials about children born with congenital heart defects. Approximately 50% of children born with down syndrome are born with heart defects. We hope the donations provided from our customers proceeds will provide comfort for families going through the frightening news that their child has a heart defect.
