We planted our relay bean crop today! This past fall we set the drill up to skip a row every 30 inches and today we planted the beans on 30 inch rows. This summer it is our hope to combine the rye off between the bean rows and later this fall come back to harvest the beans.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) has entered into an agreement with the USDA-Risk Management Agency (RMA) to provide an additional crop insurance premium reduction for cover crop acres from producers who enroll through this program.
