It was a long cold snowy winter. Lets hope it is over and gone as today we planted our first three varieties of sweet corn . Now lets hope for adequate moisture and warm weather ! Hope to see you all for sweet corn season .

Imagine our big surprise when we were driving toward Escanaba and saw this big, beautiful, billboard by 41-lumber. This cute little girl walking down the sunflower lane at our farm. The picture was taken by, " Chelsea Jacques Photography". What a gorgeous picture. We are so honored First Bank would use a picture taken at our farm for this. This makes us so proud to see our community supporting each other. At this time of year, it makes us all think of warmer, nicer days ahead of us. A Huge Thank You to First Bank!

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving. Our year was good for us. We are all Healthy and Happy and the crop season was good, so we are very Thankful. We would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the hard-working linemen and workers at the power companies. We were out of power a bit over 6 hours as were a lot of other people, and the power companies were working in a miserable storm to get it back working. To you all, stay Safe and a Huge Thank You. The same Thank You to our road crews for keeping our roads open and safe and working on Holidays. Let's all say an extra prayer for our Military men and women, Especially the two National Guardsmen shot yesterday. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

After combining the corn, we need to dry it before we can put it in bags to sell it for deer feed. Here is the way we do it.

We get many questions about where our deer corn comes from. Our corn is grown here in the upper peninsula on our farm. Here is the process of combining it drying it, and bagging it.
