The cheese has arrived! Green Coast Market is proud to be one of the first places you can find 2026 Rogue River Blue, possibly the best cheese on earth, and the only cheese from North America selected as a world champion.

If you know, you know. But if not, get ready for an experience. Rogue River Blue has intense cultures, similar to other Rogue blues. But beyond that, it’s completely unique cheese. Aged nearly a year, it has an extremely rich, creamy texture, and a sweetness imparted from the pear brandy soaked Syrah grape leaves that each wheel is wrapped in.

This cheese, with history going back nearly a century, is truly one of Oregon’s cultural and culinary treasures, and is available in limited quantities for a limited time. We’ll keep it in stock as long as we can.

Sea beans are here! AKA sea asparagus, samphire, and salicornia. Sea beans are a wild member of the aster family with edible foliage. They are crunchy, salty, and awesome. Sea beans can be eaten raw or cooked, and are great in stir fries or as a side with seafood. And they make great pickles!

Chanterelles are a fall mushroom you say? That’s true in most places, but we’re lucky to be at the coast, where the forests stay cool and damp enough for golden chanterelles to get a really early start. These come from the hills above Rockaway, and they are fresh and full of flavor. Come get some today!

Green Coast Market is hosting a free tasting event for Amaa Wines, Thursday, July 2, 3-6PM. Join us at 117 S. Miller Street in downtown Rockaway Beach.

We'll be joined by winemaker David Harrelson, who will be sampling a selection of wines from Amaa Wines, including an alcohol-free option. We're deciding which ones to carry in the shop, and we'd love your help—come taste, tell us your favorites, and chat with the winemaker.
