A taste of Nostalgia.
Growing up, one of traditional Easter staples on our family's table was my grandma's "Boiled Babka". Yes, boiled not baked. Perfectly moist and fluffy pound cake topped with chocolate icing to-die-for. No fancy ingredients, just big flavor. Because sometimes the best desserts don't require extravagance, but rather heartfelt effort and a touch of sweetness. However this is not just another cake. It's a sensory time machine transporting me back to a place and time that holds the biggest piece of my heart - home, love and family. The aroma of butter, sugar and chocolate provides comfort, and being able to recreate those smells and tastes from the past brings a sense of peace to my ever-chaotic world.
