Another project completed! Our clients were dealing with major drainage issues caused by ditches filling in with debris over time. In some areas, there were little to no functioning drainage ditches at all. Due to erosion, the water began flowing down the middle of the road, creating deep gullies and significant wash outs.

We were able to re-establish and regrade the ditch lines, then line them with stone to promote proper water flow while reducing future erosion.

Using our Harley Rake, we restored the road surface by filling in the gullies and creating a smooth, solid driving surface once again.
To top it off, we also added a new parking pad to provide additional parking space for the property.

Please help Cooper’s Stump Grinding in support of the 10th Anniversary of the Natural Bridge State Park “Festival of Trees.”

This year’s theme is “Branches of Giving: Supporting Growing Hands and Hungry Hearts.”

Cooper’s Stump Grinding has again placed a tree and encourage you to help us support this worthy cause for our community.

This year’s event will support the following organizations:
- Unity4Kids: the focus will be donations collected to help the most venerable youth in the area. Children ages 10-16 are in need of items such as personal hygiene products, school supplies, clothing of all sizes, shoes of all sizes, gadgets and toys.
- Natural Bridge/Glasgow Food Pantry: donations of non-perishable, unexpired food items will be collected.
- Yellow Brick Road Early Learning Center will receive money raised with ballot voting.

The ballot voting will be continued this year. Each ballot is priced at $1 and can be purchased at the front desk of the Natural Bridge State Park visitor’s center. You can cast your ballots into a ballot box provided under each tree.

Please place your donations under your favorite tree. The tree with the most donations and ballots will be crowned the winner of the 2025 Festival of Trees. Donations will be accepted daily between 10am - 5pm until New Year’s Day.

We now offer driveway restoration/ soil conditioning

Utilizing a soil conditioner on your driveway can potentially save you money 💰💰 by not needing completely new gravel.

The conditioner turns over the gravel that has been pushed down into the surface over years of use, bringing it to the top while also filling in low areas, removing pot holes, and also small gullies leaving you with a new, fresh looking driveway with potentially no need for new gravel.

It can also be utilized to level out high and low places in your yard, as well as loosening up soil that may be tightly compacted which prevents grass from growing.

We got to break out our portable manual grinder that was used to start the business 20+ years ago on this one due to the stump being inaccessible by any powered equipment due to tight confines as well as landscaping built into the side of the bank in downtown Lexington. We don’t use this grinder often but it’s there when we need it. Wherever your stump is located we should have you covered. We always try to live up to our motto that there is “No Stump To Tuff”.

We were able to accomplish clearing off a hillside taken over by briars and all types of other invasive species. This one was a challenge due to steep terrain and limited mulching room in order to not tear up the crop field. Pictures don’t do it justice on how steep it really is.
