The 2026 honey season is complete and it was a record year for us! We extracted 1780lbs of honey! Look forward to seeing all of my customers! This year I'll be working on a new product in creamed honey and bringing back comb honey this year!

Hanging swarm traps to catch bees is a great way to add to your apiary. However, sometimes bees have their own ideas. Had this baited swarm trap hanging for a couple of months and finally got bees.... just not the way I expected. The bees decided that they liked the outside of the trap better and built new comb on the side of the box. Had to bring another box to put them in so that they wouldn't rebuild on the outside of the trap again.

Stepped outside to look at the bees in this 90+ heat and the bees are hot too! Notice all the bees on the outside of the box? This is called bearding and it helps regulate the hives internal temperature as they fan their tiny wings to create airflow!
