Quinoa vs. white rice 🍚
Quinoa is actually a pseudocereal (aka not a grain)😮but nutritionally it counts as a whole grain🙌🏻which is superior to refined grains (such as white rice, pasta, bread) because whole grains contain:
* Protein
* Fiber
* Iron
* Antioxidants
* B vitamins
Both are delicious and can be part of a healthy diet but I thought this was a fun twist on a classic!😋
Shoppers tip: look for the word “WHOLE” in front of the word grains on nutrition facts label to know you’re getting the above nutrients!
