🍒 U-Pick Sweet Cherries Open Tomorrow! 🍒

We’ll be picking Black Pearl dark sweet cherries.

🍒 U-Pick: $3.50 per pound
🍒 Pre-Picked: $4.75 per pound

We expect to have picking for a few days before we may need to pause and wait for the next varieties to ripen, so please call or check our page before making the trip for the latest picking updates.

Coming Soon:

🍒 Sweet Cherry U-Pick Update! 🍒

Hello everyone!

We will officially open for Sweet Cherry U-Pick on Tuesday, June 23!

Unfortunately, we do not have a large crop this season, and the recent rain caused some splitting in the cherries. We expect this first round of picking to last only a few days. After that, our late-season variety, Regina, should be ready in about 10 days.

Our white sweet cherries (Rainiers) are very limited this year, so we most likely will not offer U-Pick on those. We hope to harvest what fruit is available and have pre-picked cherries in the market toward the end of the week.

The good news is that our Montmorency tart cherries have an excellent crop! We expect those to be ready for U-Pick in around July 1st.

U-Pick Pricing
🍒 Sweet Cherries: $3.50 per pound
🍒 Tart/Sour Cherries: $3.00 per pound

We also hope to have pre-picked sweet cherries available in the market starting Tuesday.

• Sunday: Open only if cherries are available for picking. If there is nothing to pick, we will be closed.

Hello everybody!

Sweet cherries are about a week away. The incoming rain won’t do them any favors, so we’ll continue to monitor conditions closely over the next several days.

Tart cherries are looking great, and we expect those to begin around the start of July.

Red raspberries and black raspberries should start approximately July 10th, depending on the weather.

Hey everyone, happy June!

Just wanted to give you an update on where we’re at for the season and what we’ve been up to here at the farm.

We’re planning to open sometime around June 29th and will likely start the season with pre-picked sweet cherries. U-pick sweet cherries will be very limited this year, but the tart cherries look decent and we should have some U-pick available for those.

The red raspberries, black raspberries, and blueberries all look great. We expect those to start around mid-July, and we’ll have U-pick available on them as well.

As many of you have heard, our peach and nectarine crop was lost during the polar vortex back in January when temperatures dropped well below what the trees could handle. We know many of you look forward to peach season, so we’ll do our best to bring in quality Michigan peaches from other farms for the market.

The apples and pears look excellent. It appears we have a full crop, and we’re expecting some great picking this fall.

We’ve also planted a few new rows of apple trees this spring. One is a newer variety called Kudos, and the other is the old classic Northern Spy. It’ll be a few more seasons before they reach production, but we’re excited to see how they perform.

Things are starting to get a little dry out here, so we’ve begun running irrigation and are hoping for some much-needed rainfall soon.

As the season moves along, we’ll have plenty of fresh produce, local products, and U-pick opportunities. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the farm.
