LBF Archeology. Anyone recognize this Ford hood? Looks like a turquoise or blue paint with this airplane ornament.
Found halfway down our South pasture, over the bank toward Lillie Brook.

These logs were inoculated with Shiitake spawn 8 years ago! This mix of Maple and Hop Hornbeam has produced an incredible amount of fresh mushrooms over the years.

This fascinating article reminds me of the ancient Red Oaks in the hills of the farm. The story was airing on the CBC as I drove through Quebec, just north of Vermont.
