Nothing quite like walking outside in the morning and discovering that your windshield has turned into a freaking ice sculpture.

GOOD MORNING, MAINE. THANKS FOR THAT.

The sun might be shining, but don’t let that fool you. It’s COLD out there!

And apparently the second the temperatures drop, my brain immediately switches over to one thing…

COMFORT FOOD. 🤤🍲

I’m talking homemade soups, warm hearty meals, cheesy deliciousness, and all those foods that make you want to curl up under a blanket and not move for the rest of the day.

And with our winter move coming up, I’ve been doing a whole lot of thinking about what our winter menu at Tuck & Roll might look like.

I AM SO READY FOR COMFORT FOOD SEASON.

And now I need to know something.

What’s your absolute FAVORITE football watching food?!

Are you a wings person? Buffalo chicken dip? Nachos? Chili? Sliders? Something completely different?

Because I firmly believe half the reason people watch football is for the snacks.

And yes, I’m absolutely going to be reading these answers while dreaming up winter menu ideas. 👀

🥑 WELL, IT LOOKS LIKE AVOCADO HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN EVICTED FROM TUCK & ROLL. 😂👋

As we start getting ready for our big winter move, we’re also starting to make some changes to our menu!

And unfortunately, avocado is our first casualty.

Listen, I love a good avocado as much as the next person, but trying to get these little green troublemakers to ripen exactly when we need them to has become a full time job I did NOT apply for.

They’re either hard as a rock or they’ve decided to turn brown overnight. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN.

So, since we’ve officially run out of avocado, we’ve decided we’re not restocking it for the winter menu.

Which means, effective TODAY:

🥑 The Sweet Sammy is retiring.

🧇 The Avo Waffle is retiring.

🌯 And our Veggie Burrito is sticking around, but it’ll no longer include avocado!

We’re slowly working our way through the menu as we prepare for winter, figuring out what makes sense to keep, what needs a little tweaking, and what might be ready for retirement.

Don’t worry, we’re not getting rid of everything you love.

But sometimes running a food truck means making the executive decision that you’re no longer willing to negotiate with a piece of fruit.

And today, avocado lost that negotiation. 🤣🥑

I’m not gonna lie, when I saw the forecast for today, I was fully prepared for a long, quiet morning of staring out the food truck window watching the rain.

APPARENTLY YOU GUYS HAD OTHER PLANS.

We opened the window at 8 AM, and I swear we haven’t stopped moving since!

And apparently rainy Friday mornings call for BREAKFAST, because you guys are keeping that grill BUSY! 🌯🥓🍳

So here’s your friendly reminder that YES, WE’RE OPEN! And YES, you can absolutely call ahead!

🩷 PINK THURSDAYS ARE TAKING A LITTLE VACATION! 🩷

Don’t panic, we’re not breaking up with pink!

As we get ready for our big move to our winter home in the next couple of weeks, we’re slowly starting the process of cleaning out, packing up, and simplifying life inside this little food truck.

And unfortunately, that means some of our extra fun stuff has to take a temporary backseat.

So for now, we’re putting our big Pink Thursday celebrations on pause. No pink waffles, no pink napkins, no pink everything today.

BUTTTT… you can still get your PINK SURGE!

We’re going to take a little break from the full Pink Thursday festivities for the remainder of October, and once we’re settled into our winter location, we’ll decide when to bring all that pink goodness back!

And don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye to Pink Thursdays. It’s just a little see ya later!

NOW, WHILE I’VE GOT YOU HERE… 😂

I’ve been tossing around some ideas for our winter menu, and homemade soup keeps finding its way into my brain. 🍲

So I’m curious…

We’ve been a little quiet on here the last few days, so let’s catch everybody up on what’s happening in our little corner of the world!

First things first… WE ARE NOT CLOSING FOR THE WINTER!

I feel like this is our annual public service announcement, but just because the weather gets colder doesn’t mean we’re packing it up for the season!

We simply pack up our little food truck and MOVE! 🚚

With the water being shut off at Harbor Park at the end of the month, we’re looking at making our annual winter migration in the next couple of weeks!

We’ll keep you posted on the official moving date as we get closer!

I’ve officially gotten bored with our fall latte lineup, so we’re switching things up!

🍫🎃 PUMPKIN S’MORES LATTE — Because pumpkin and s’mores belong together, and I’m not accepting arguments.

🍁🤎 MAPLE WHOOPIE PIE LATTE — All those cozy Maine whoopie pie vibes with a little maple goodness!

Both are GLUTEN FREE and can also be made DAIRY FREE! 🙌

🚨 Well, this is NOT how I planned to spend my Saturday. 😭

I truly hate to do this, but for the first time in well over a year, Lo is officially taking a sick day.

I pride myself on having a pretty freaking phenomenal immune system, but apparently whatever I’ve managed to catch has decided to hit me like a full-blown Mack truck. And let me tell you… I am DOWN for the count.

So unfortunately, Tuck & Roll will be CLOSED today, Saturday, October 10th.

The good news? Brian and Braeden are coming to the rescue, and we’ll be back in action tomorrow, Sunday the 11th! 🙌🧇☕️

Hopefully I’ll be feeling human again by then and can join them, but either way, those boys have got you covered!

I absolutely hate closing, especially on a Saturday, but sometimes you’ve just gotta listen when your body says NOPE.

🍂☕️ TRAILER SQUAD… WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE FALL LATTES.

It’s not them.

It’s me. 😂

When we launched our fall latte lineup, I thought maybe we’d try something different this year. Instead of constantly coming up with new drinks, we’d create a whole seasonal menu and let it ride for a while.

Cute idea, right?

Wellllll…

I’M BORED.

Call it my ADHD. Call it my inability to leave well enough alone. Call it whatever you want.

But apparently I am not the kind of person who can create six delicious drinks, put them on a menu, and then just… LEAVE THEM THERE.

WHO KNEW?!

I miss creating new flavors. I miss experimenting with syrups. I miss coming up with something ridiculous and then making you guys be my taste testers.

And honestly, I think that’s part of what makes Tuck & Roll FUN.

So we’re changing things up!

I’m thinking one or two new specialty lattes at a time, changing things up regularly instead of committing to an entire seasonal lineup for months.

Because apparently I need to keep myself entertained while running a food truck.

We’ve already got a couple of new drinks coming next week, and I’m pretty freaking excited about them!

Officer Redden has informed me that he is going to be late picking up his chicken salad today. 😂

Apparently he has to do that whole “serve and protect the community” thing first.

Fine. I GUESS that’s a valid excuse.

BUTTTTTT… since the chicken salad is here and Andrew is not…
