Definitely should come check out MAK Daddy's Old Town Meet n Eat in Dover, Arkansas. Right off I-40, exit 81. 7 miles north and on the left just as HWY 7 and 27 split on the Dover Square. This whole place is set like an old town!! There is a coffee shop, ice cream parlor, a schoolhouse that has an arcade in it, town hall which has a huge bounce house in it for the kids, a billiards room, a huge 85” tv for watching games, a bakery that isn’t finished yet, the bath house which is the public bathrooms, a huge indoor stage with a huge dance floor area! There are live bands every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights!! It’s all home cooking and has excellent buffet on Friday and Saturday nights!! The menu feature items that are almost all homemade . We have our homemade onion rings which are huge and everyone loves!! Our fish is a fan favorite as well as the Grilled BLT!! The Philly whether it’s the sirloin or the chicken Philly are off the charts!! All the normal, come home to grandma’s cooking!! Homemade hamburger steak, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, liver n onions, fish, shrimp, and more!! We also have the absolute best steak and bone-in chops ever!! We actually hand-cut these in-house, so the sizes vary by an ounce or two, but generally, they are definitely thick and close to 15oz each. The ribeye is seasoned perfectly and flame-grilled to your liking!! The bone-in chop is also flame-grilled and is paired with a special sauce on the side that goes absolutely perfectly with it!! Both are mouthwatering good. Our mashed potatoes are also homemade (my momma’s recipes). Actually, it would be faster to say which items are not homemade because seriously, it’s all homemade!!! Even our desserts are made in-house!!
It’s an awesome weekend getaway with several scenic parks all super close by also. And it’s not even off the beaten path. It’s on Scenic Hwy 7 only 9 minutes off of I-40. We currently are only open Tuesday night 5-9 for Dinner and Karaoke, which everyone loves!! We are also open Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 5pm and have an amazing buffet or if you would rather, you can order off the menu!! We have live bands those nights so bring your lawn chairs!!Sometimes the bands play longer than 9!! There is a $5 cover charge on Friday and Saturday nights and they collect tips each band night to pay the bands. The bands get paid with those tips only so for the good bands to come out, they need to collect a lot of tips and we have some really good bands playing out here!! It’s smoke-free and the kids get to go out with you!! Definitely a different concept but it really works!! Family fun weekend or date night!! The last Sunday of every month is called The Last Sunday!! This day is set aside for gospel singing from 2-4pm. You definitely don’t want to miss checking this place out!! The parking lot is definitely packed on the weekends but there is still plenty of room inside!! They sometimes park all around the building and in other parking lots and walk over!! It’s well worth it!! And there is no waiting outside in the heat, cold, or rain!! Just come on in and find a table or find a spot to put your chairs around the dance floor! This is a huge come-home-to-grandmas vibe so lots of visiting going on with everyone!! Once the waitress comes and gets your drinks, help yourself to the buffet but please only get what you can eat!! This buffet is all the fan favorites!! But don’t forget those steaks and bone-in chops!! Those are not on the buffet but can be ordered off the menu!!! Everyone is super friendly and we love having new people in!!! If you are new, ask around and Perch will definitely come welcome you in and show you around. Unless he’s eating or dancing or is in the billiards room playing those machines hoping for MAK Daddys bucks!! But yeah, definitely he is a big part of our welcome committee!! And if you are a lady and need a dance partner, Perch, Wayne, and Hank are your go-to guys with no strings attached!! You can easily spot them because they are always on the dance floor!! Tanner is also a big part of MAK Daddy’s!! He is our DJ and can hook you up with your favorite songs during DJ nights (usually on a Thursday night we don’t have a band), or during band breaks or after the band quits!!
