I was interviewed live on CBS 2 News this morning! We’re here at the Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Walk at Jones Beach making lots of donations today! Our donations will be dedicated to my father, Kenneth Scott Meltzer, who died of acute pancreatitis in 1989. I was only 10. And in honor of my coworker Keith who was recently diagnosed. Together we will eradicate this horrible disease! 💜

We’re working hard to keep rolling out new products for you! We now have Fig Jam for a limited time! Figs are only in season for a few weeks in early summer then again from August through October. We have a short window to work with but the weather is gorgeous and the windows are wide open! Get yours while you can! We’re at the Islip Farmers Market at Islip Town Hall every Saturday from 7am-noon, the Long Beach Farmers Market every Wednesday from 9am-2pm, and starting September 22 we’ll be at the Garden City Farmers Market every Tuesday from 7am-1pm! Hello autumn! We’re starting to roll out lots of fall flavors. Ready for markets this week…Gourd Almighty Pumpkin Butter! We take fresh pumpkin and slow cook it for 8 hours, purée it, and add maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice until it becomes a thicker, buttery spread. Spread it on your toast, English muffins, pancakes, waffles…put some in your oatmeal or yogurt. Use it for desserts, as a pie filling, an ice cream topper…tons of applications.
