Aunt Mildred was the oldest living graduate of Mecca High School before passing away last week. She continued to be full of stories about growing up in Parke County and going to Mecca School. She was still helping fill in the blanks with me on the Gerrish and Freed genealogies last month which she has done for the last twenty years. I will miss her wit and sharp mind. RIP aunt Mildred.

Mildred Lucile Robertson, 98, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was a former forty year resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. Mildred was a resident of the Indiana Masonic Home from 1999 to present. She was born on October 6, 1925 in Parke County, Indiana to James Gerrish

Time to Go Fish farmers!
We now have a 25% tariff on soybeans being sold to China. They feed their fish with our soybeans. We import over 10 billion dollars worth of fish from China in a state supported aquaculture industry.
Why don't we feed our own fish with our own soybeans?
