You did everything everything you were told, but it’s not working. You picked a gentle formula, you followed the doctor’s guidance, and your baby is still fussy, spitting up, and dealing with eczema that won't clear. It's exhausting, and it's not your fault.

Sometimes "gentle" formula isn't enough because what's actually going on could be a cow milk protein allergy (CMPA). If this sounds like your baby, the first step is always the same: talk to your pediatrician.

From there, your pediatrician may recommend an extensively hydrolyzed formula (ehF), like Pepticate, made specifically for CMPA. If symptoms stick around after a few weeks, they may recommend an amino acid-based formula (AAF), like Neocate, for those more stubborn cases.
