🐓 Pasture management is a crucial part of a truly regenerative pastured poultry operation.

We turned this overgrown weedy pasture into what you see here in 6 months. Now we just have to keep it cut down!

In the future we’d like to have multi-species rotations, but for now we manage this particular pasture just for the meat chickens.

Lots of rain led to knee high pastures, thriving summer crops, and a perfect chance to pull out the flame weeder 🔥

In July we processed turkeys and chickens. We’re so excited to be offering another meat option at the Matthews Community Farmers Market

We also welcomed more chicks and poults, these are the turkey poults that we are raising for Thanksgiving!

We’ll have cuts available from our first batch next weekend (Saturday, August 1st) Matthews Community Farmers Market

In person pre-orders for our whole Thanksgiving turkeys will begin next weekend Matthews Community Farmers Market as well. We plan to offer online pre-orders soon if you can’t make it to the market!
