This is just another example of how these Turkmen pups can think through a situation, even at this age.
A single kid got out to the next pasture through a gate, and both pups followed and guarded him until I came back to do our livestock checks. Once I got there, they simply followed me back in with the Spanish goat kid.
Having these large pasture rotations really tests their decision-making skills and develops them into much better LGDs. 🐕🐐

Dottie doing what she always does. While the other dogs are with the herd grazing she stayed behind with the doe that just had kids to keep a close eye.

Puppies are showing they can handle their own in the rotational grazing pastures. It’s great having a LGD that isn’t stressed by moving and constantly being in a new area. Not all dogs can be moved in a new pasture and just bond so quickly to a herd. There are a few available please PM us.

OCC Dixie Erica 787E and her OCC Paxton 730P Calf. I don’t think they get much better. We love the cookie cutter effect.  We are amazed at how well condition she is coming out of winter. Low Input Queen.👸
