Unexpected change always raises concerns and questions. This weeks announced brand consolidation is no exception. What we know at this point is that we are able to continue providing excellent Corteva genetics and traits to our customers although no longer in an SC brand after 2026. We are grateful to have marketed the SC brand for 22 years and it’s been a value builder on many farms. We are looking forward to continuing to test new products on behalf of our grower partners and place the seed industry’s highest value products on their farms.

We made our annual trip to Washington courthouse last week to visit with the office staff at Seed Consultants, and a view new varieties that we hope we can bring to our customers and make their business more profitable.

Scouting a test plot today 1183 on your left and a new variety 1185 on your right. Both 118 day silage variety’s both the same height but look at the ear placement. Much lower and a healthier stalk would be a big positive in a storm situation.
