Join Our Farm Team – Raise Food, Work Outdoors, Make a Difference
Do you enjoy hard work, fresh air, animals, and being part of a farm that produces healthy food for local families?
We are looking for two full-time, permanent Farm Hands to join our growing regenerative, pasture-based livestock farm. We raise pastured poultry, laying hens, and grass-fed beef, and sell directly to customers through farmers markets in the Washington, DC area.
What You'll Do
Every day is different, but responsibilities include:
🐔 Feeding and managing pastured broilers and laying hens
🥚 Collecting, washing, grading, and packing eggs
🐄 Assisting with cow/calf herd management, grazing rotations, and calving
🚜 Moving livestock and portable infrastructure on pasture
📦 Loading coolers and preparing products for market
🛒 Driving to and helping staff farmers market booths
🌱 Participating in all aspects of a regenerative livestock operation
What We're Looking For
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Comfortable handling livestock or willing to learn
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Farm experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right people.
