Stoney Grove Farm will be selling Nucs in the spring. We will be producing 100 Nucs and as this is an ambitious goal for us we are offering an early sales insensitive. Any Nucs ordered before February 1, 2026, with a 50% nonrefundable deposit, will be only $200. When I pulled supers, I had some that were fairly full but not capped. I left them to be capped and went back to get them today. They were mostly empty today. However, the bees were strong. It has been a good year.

We at Stoney Grove Farm are fortunate enough to have our grandchildren every year for " Farm Week". We have done this every year since 2010. " The cousins get together and in general have a great time, with a few disagreements tossed in. The picture below is of the faded rules sign that we posted the first year and have left posted for the full 15 years. It is short, simple and has worked very well.

I went back after that swarm and they were a lot nicer during the daylight. I put them in two five frame nuc boxes and moved them to my home yard. I will move them to a ten frame and look for the queen on Monday.

This is our first ever Lavender Honey. We put our bees at Peaceful Valley Farms and this is the gorgeous product we harvested. We are planning to have it for sale tomorrow at the Midland Area Farmers Market (Michigan) and Thursday at the Mt Pleasant Area Farmers Market.
