Agreed. One reason i love CAO. Guarding and dominating. That's it.

This is absolutely nothing short of amazing.

She is actually 100% correct in what she is saying. The only thing she left out is that if you don't have enough large flock guardian dogs watching over the flock, often times a larger pack of wolves will come in and kill your gurdian dogs and actually eat them down to the skeleton. So in wolf country, keeping 2 or 3 giant guardian dogs to watch over a roaming flock of sheep, is simply not enough. You need several that work together to keep everyone safe.

Other than that, she's spot on. Wolves do not elect to fight a Boz, Kangal, or Central Asian Shepherd 1v1. Wolves aren't stupid. They don't want to risk injury. Thus, when i hear people say that their guardian "un-alived" a wolf, I automatically know they are either lying, misinformed, or simply uneducated. Because it just doesn't happen. For a wolf is much faster than any guardian dog alive and won't be in any situation where it is caught by a pack of guardians, and a wild wolf will not stay and fight a large guardian 1v1. So when I hear people say "Wolf Killer" dogs. I think to myself..."Uh Huh. Did you see it happen with your own eyes?"

Fact of the matter is that we humans like to believe the dramatic. That's it.

And for no extra charge, let me just say this... ranchers are lucky that wolves don't average the weight of some of these large guardians and better be glad these wolves have a flight response over a fight response. Because pound for pound, a wolf is VASTLY more powerful and tougher than any dog breed alive. It's just that dogs have been bred to be larger and also have been bred to fight first and ask questions later.

These 2 dogs are not only phenomenal specimens, but they are very special as well. They are a testament to the progression of this kennel. They are also highly sentimental to my emotional needs. Especially in these current times with the loss of my little buddy, Falkor.

I have been throwing some light fasting in there now that they are 6 months old. Nothing too extreme but it's time to do so, and also very important. They are going to continue rapid growth for another year and a half so it is no less important to control their nutrition now, than it was when they were 1 month old. Notice their thin waistline yet super thick and well muscled legs. This is the pinnacle of giant breed physiology for puppies of this age. And I say that with the utmost confidence.

You shouldn't take any of this as me being bragging or being a pompous, conceded windbag. You should take it as a breath of fresh air and know that you can get quality gigantic puppies that are going to develop into quality gigantic majestic beasts that are healthy and happy.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Watch what these to Fantastic Beasts turn into. This is going to be good.

Oko. Full sister to Falkor. Daughter of Panda and Appa. 11 weeks old today. 31 pounds. They take her to weekly training sessions and then of course, training throughout the week.

She is a beautiful and precious little beast. Like something straight out of one of the fantasy books I read!

I'm telling y'all...these dogs are SUPER intelligent!

Oko was born right here in Northwest Arkansas but now happily lives up in the state of Maryland!

And look at her ridiculously long legs! This little lady is going to be TALL!

I failed to mention Panda's reaction when she saw me carrying her son that had passed. I wish i would have hid him from her better. I had no idea it was going to affect her like that. She went berserk, making the most awful sounds. Not a bark. Not a growl. Not a howl. But something all 3 blended. Like a bawling sound. First time ever hearing it. She had raised eyebrows. Focused. Not on me. But her pup. She knew something was wrong.

Just another tribute to these dog's intelligence. And also, how emotional they are.

I miss him. I try to be a tough guy. I try to put on a face. But I just miss the little guy.. So I just went back and grabbed a few memories. Right up to the day before his last. And then added the theme song from one of my favorite animes. For it feels like he was Spirited Away from me.

Y'all have a good night. Sleep well.

This morning before work. Just a mild demonstration of the physicality of these 2 powerhouse females. Which is better quality? Neither. They are both exceptional. And both contribute phenotype, health, and the character i am after. She-Rah is 7 years old. Panda is 3 and a half. Panda is in her prime and God willing, will stay in her prime for another 3 years. She-Rah was out of her prime about a year ago and will continue to slow down. Hence why she will not be bred after next year. Both as you can see, both are still exceptional specimens. And just because She-Rah is no longer in her prime, she is still a hurricane of vitality and life.

PS. Watch She-Rah check Tulkas to get out of the way. Tulkas gives her a look like "What did i do wrong?"
