Thank you Dr Karle for sharing your personal image of the Quadruplets born at one of your Dairy clients!
The Quadruplets were born on December 6th, 2011 at the Zuppan Dairy in Orlando, CA. They received worldwide attention when all four heifer calves were born alive, healthy and at term without assistance.
It’s an amazing story and here are some incredible facts:
The odds of a cow having Quadruplets are 1:700;000
The odds of having all four calves born alive are 1:11.2 million.
The odds of Quadruplets born alive and all having the same s*x is 1: 179.2 million.
WOW!
Congratulations to the Zuppan Dairy and Dr Karle!

In addition to the milk and other products dairy farmers produce, they also make a significant impact on rural America. Thanks dairy producers!

That's a little over 2 acres of farmland lost EVERY MINUTE of each day!

Yet another reason why we need to utilize every safe and efficiency-improving technology available. How else will we produce more food for the growing population when we have to do it with less land?

This photo was taken less than 10 minutes away from our farm. As we speak, another housing subdivision and school are being built on what was formerly productive farmland.

While "factory farming" is making headline news across the country as a "common practice that must end", this farm girl has never even seen a "factory farm". There just aren't any around here. This picture was taken at sunrise on a family friend's farm. This isn't a glorified picture of farming. Around here, it's a common sight.
