It’s at A crucial time of cutting, raking, bailing and for about 3 weeks. This allows us to set aside winter feed for our cattle and horses at times when the earth hibernates and all goes cold for a time. Making hay in our community also helps our neighbors keep their grass down, and reduce fuels for fire season. It’s a crazy busy time. Sunday alone we put up 700 bales in 100degree temperatures.
Last year Grandson, Baby Blu rode along still inside Mommas tummy, one year later he is already driving truck with his Dad and Grandpa 🤣😆🤪 He loves hard work and big equipment. This is a time when family all pitches to make things happen and .deans are always there to help! Thank you, 😊
Our crew this year, put together by a young Leader, Coltin, has and always is such a blessing. A few years ago a friend of theirs, Hunter, stopped me and a few other women bucking hay and insisted he help and asked to come to work, and we have had a great crew since! These young men are hard working, polite, respectful and amazing to be around! THANK YOU Coltin, Robbie, Brian, and even Dustin (whom survived one day).
Our Boss of this crew, Dan, and right hand have done an amazing job of timing the cut, rake, and bail, and so far everything has come out of the field as fast as possible and we are onto the next job. which is how it’s supposed to be. Jeff, you have been a HUGE help this year too! Thank you! 😊
Beautiful evenings watching the moon 🌕 rise and stacking hay in rhythm does something to the soul. Makes you feel alive.
