Warm skies in the evening…

…suggest a great day / week ahead!

Seen from the reception area for events and weddings, the Arkansas sky transitions through a beautiful palette of colors: from day, to evening, sunset, to evening twilight and finally to a cascade of stars. Many of the greatest performances are in the sky! ✨

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” — Josh Billings

There is a profound, silent language between a man and his dog, a connection that feels especially sacred when the world turns quiet. I recently took a stroll through the Park at Moss Mountain Farm with my dear friend Culzean, and seeing his dark coat contrasted against the fresh, white powder reminded me just how much life and joy these companions bring to the garden.

The first snow of 2026 has arrived, and it has absolutely transformed the land. I’ve always said that winter is the season that reveals the true “bones” of a garden. With the flowers tucked away, the snow acts as a clean canvas, highlighting the broad strokes of the architecture—from the intricate reach of the Big Sister Oak’s branches to the rustic silhouette of our vine-covered follies. It allows us to see the layers of the land in their purest form, reminding us that even in rest, the garden is a masterpiece of design. It’s a fleeting, magical moment before the spring rush begins, and I’m soaking in every bit of this stillness.

I’ve shared a few of my favorite views from our walk—tell me, which of these winter scenes speaks to you the most?
