You can find my allergen free baked goods and a small amount of produce tomorrow at Quail Run Farmstand! Reminder that I will NOT be at the downtown market for the next two Saturdays. We are enjoying time with family from CA this coming week 😊.

Picture of peppers I just picked from the garden, and there’s LOTS more out there 🤣. This has been an awesome year for peppers but not as great for the tomatoes. Thankfully I LOVE peppers and eat about a half dozen every day 😂😂😂.

Between now and October the only Saturdays I’ll be making it to the downtown farmer’s market are the 12th and 26th of September. You can always find my baked goods at Quail Run Farmstand but if you’re needing a stock up on teas or other herbal products come see me on one of those dates at the market, or come out to this event and shop with all the other great vendors that will be there as well!

What’s your go to winter squash to grow? I picked the first tromboncino squash which is a great vine borer and squash bug resistant variety. After struggling so much with squash bugs and borers in the garden I mostly just grow these along with butternut and cushaw varieties. If you’ve got other squash varieties you’ve had success with in MO without having to use pesticides I’d love to hear!!

Find me tomorrow at the Rolla Downtown Farmers Market 8:00am-noon! This is likely the last week I’ll be able to make it until September so come on out and stock up on loose leaf tea, tinctures, or anything else you need! I’ll be bringing baked goods (mostly gluten and dairy free), lots of herbal products, and a small amount of plants. Maybe some produce but I’m not sure I’ve got the energy to harvest this evening 😂. You can also find my baked goods at Quail Run Farmstand until 9:00pm tonight as well as 8:00am-9:00pm tomorrow. Thank you all for continuing to show up and support my business, it means more than I can say!

Pre orders are open for pick up at the Rolla Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday! I will be missing at least 2 and maybe 3 of the next 4 Saturdays so place an order or swing by market to grab a few things! Pretty much everything freezes beautifully if you want to grab something extra to tide you over until I’m back in September 😊. Link in comments.

Picture from just a little ways into our flooring project over the weekend. I still haven’t taken any since we finished as the furniture is still all out of place 😂. It’s SO nice to have an actual floor again after so long with just sub floor!

You can find my produce all day tomorrow at Quail Run Farmstand! Cherry tomatoes, basil, bell peppers (all green, I use zero pesticides and this year by the time they’ve changed color most of them have a bad spot or sun scald), jalapeños, poblanos, Anaheim chilis, and Fresno chilis. You will also find produce there from HighGate Harvest as well as farm fresh eggs!

For those that may have missed my last post, I will NOT be at the Rolla Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday. We are putting in flooring in the main part of our house after living for going on 2 years with just sub floor 🎉.

Mondays are probably my favorite days each week now. I get a lovely day on Sunday with my family recovering from market and all the prep that went into it and then Monday is my day with no schedule to just tackle whatever I feel like doing. Today has been making a bunch of relish with peppers and onions from the garden and a haul of cucumbers from Highgate Harvest, baking another batch of sugar free apple oat muffins which are my latest favorite snack, and tackling cleaning out the master bathroom which is large and has somehow turned into the storage room 😆. Over 4 years of living here and we still don’t feel very well moved in due to all the projects we’ve started and then had little money to keep working on 😂. We finally got our front door replaced and then yesterday we went and picked out flooring for the kitchen, living, and dining rooms. It’s been over a year and a half of living with just sub floor in a lot of our house and we’re so excited to be moving forward with putting our house back together! That being said I will not be at the downtown market this Saturday as we will hopefully be tackling the floors that day! You’ll still be able to find my baked goods at Quail Run Farmstand this Friday and Saturday, and I will be back at market the following Saturday. I will be there a bit more sporadically between now and early to mid September due to other commitments on some weekends. And then from mid September through October I’ll be bringing whatever perennials I’ve got for fall planting so those of you looking for plants stay tuned for that! I have less than last year but will still have some variety and will post with information as it gets closer 😊.

It was a great market day despite the constant mist! THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support all our wonderful vendors!

My 11 year old daughter who has had only THREE watercolor lessons so far is making these beautiful cards and I was amazed how many of you bought them today. She was thrilled to say the least!! Thank you for supporting her and helping fund all the art supplies she’s going through 😂. I am so excited to see what she will create as she learns more.
