Sunshine today, chilly rain tomorrow πŸ‚πŸŒ§οΈ Time to stock up on honey!

We carry four kinds of pure Amish honey 🍯, so there’s a jar for everyone:

🌸 Wildflower: bright & floral, perfect for everyday use
🌾 Buckwheat: bold and rich, naturally full of antioxidants
🌿 Alfalfa: mild & smooth, great for baking and cooking
πŸ€ Clover: delicate, light, and naturally sweet

Stir it into your tea, drizzle it on warm toast, or bake it into something cozy this week. 🐝

Steak night or chop night? πŸ”₯ Why not both!

With almost 80 degrees this week, it’s the perfect excuse for one more grill night before fall really kicks in. β˜€οΈ

πŸ₯© Fresh beef rib eye steak: rich marbling that keeps it juicy and full of flavor
πŸ– Fresh bone-in pork chops: the bone keeps them tender and adds extra flavor

Both come from animals raised on green pastures, far from pollution, with no hormones and no antibiotics. Just real meat, the way it should be. πŸ’š

Simple grill tips:
1️⃣ Take the meat out of the fridge 30 minutes before grilling
2️⃣ Season simply: salt, pepper, a little garlic
3️⃣ Grill on high heat for steak, medium-high for chops (pork to 145Β°F inside)
4️⃣ Let it rest a few minutes before cutting

Fire up the grill tonight. Next week it might be soup weather! 🍲

Is it October or July? β˜€οΈπŸ€”

Our stores are closed today, and Mother Nature gave us one more summer Sunday, sunshine, and almost 80 degrees!

Enjoy it while it lasts: a walk in the park, lunch outside, maybe one last grill of the season. πŸ”₯ Our pumpkins are patiently waiting for fall. πŸŽƒ

We’ll be back tomorrow at 9 AM with fresh deliveries.

Happy Sunday from all of us at Amish Farmers! πŸ’š

πŸ§€ What makes Amish cheese so special?

It’s made the old-fashioned way:

πŸ₯› Simple ingredients: fresh milk, salt, cultures, and enzymes. That’s it.
πŸ„ Milk from small family farms, which gives it a rich, creamy taste and that natural golden color.
πŸ‘ Small batches: many cheesemakers still follow traditional Swiss and German methods, made with care and patience.

From mild and creamy to spicy and bold: Muenster, Gouda, Brick, Cheddar, Farmers cheese, and for the brave ones, JalapeΓ±o, Ghost Pepper and Horseradish! 🌢️ Which one would you try first? πŸ‘‡

Perfect for a weekend cheese board: add fresh bread, apples, and a drizzle of honey. 🍎🍯

Find your favorites at both stores! πŸ’š

πŸ₯” The Amish secret to the creamiest mashed potatoes? Cream cheese!

In Amish kitchens, people often make mashed potatoes with butter, milk, sour cream, and a bit of cream cheese. It makes them extra rich and creamy, and they stay smooth even when made in big batches for family gatherings and church dinners.

Try it at home:

Boil peeled potatoes in salted water until soft.
Mash with butter and warm milk.
Stir in a few spoonfuls of cream cheese and sour cream.
Season with salt and pepper. Done! πŸ˜‹

Bonus tip from the root cellar: keep potatoes cool, dark, and dry, and never in the fridge. That's how farm families keep them fresh for months.

You'll find fresh potatoes, butter, milk, sour cream, and cream cheese at both of our stores- everything you need for the perfect bowl. πŸ’š

Have you ever tried cream cheese in your mashed potatoes? πŸ‘‡

Here's a little experiment for you. 🩡

Take home one of our Ameraucana eggs, crack it open, and look inside the shell. Surprised? It's blue there too!

That's because the color goes all the way through the shell. Brown eggs work differently: the color is only on the outside, so the inside of the shell is white.

And here's the other surprise: shell color says nothing about what's inside. Blue, green, or brown, the hen's breed decides the color. What really makes an egg better is what the hen eats and how she lives.

Our Amish hens roam the pasture eating grass, seeds, and bugs. You'll see it every time you crack one: a deep orange yolk and a rich, full flavor. 🌾
