Did you know some dairy farms milk once a day while others milk twice a day? 🥛🐄

Reasons why some farmers practice once-a-day milking:
• Less stress on cows
• More time with calves
• Better balance for family farm time
• Easier body condition maintenance for some cows

Twice-a-day milking can increase production, but once-a-day works wonderfully for many smaller homesteads focused on sustainability and family life 💛

🚨 FARMILY, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨

Our Romance porch pickup fridge officially gave up on us today, and we’re on a desperate hunt for a replacement ASAP.

As many of y’all know, we use our self-serve porch pickup fridge daily for milk, cream, and other farm-fresh goodies. Unfortunately, we simply don’t have enough room inside the house refrigerators to store the amount of milk we’re collecting every day.

We’re not looking for anything fancy—just something that gets cold and keeps working! A standard refrigerator, garage fridge, or extra fridge someone is looking to part with would be a huge blessing right now.

If you know of one for sale, have one sitting unused, or see one posted somewhere, please send us a message. We’d greatly appreciate any leads!

✨ Scripture Sunday ✨

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin… Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field… shall he not much more clothe you?” — Matthew 6:28–30

Some days on the homestead are messy, exhausting, and full of chores that never seem to end. But even in the middle of muddy boots, feed buckets, crying babies, and long evenings… God is still providing. 🌿🐄🐓

The flowers still bloom.
The sun still rises.
The animals still depend on us.
And His grace still carries us through every season.

This Sunday, we’re slowing down and remembering that the same God who watches over the sparrows is watching over our families too. 🤍

Sometimes I wish I could hit pause for just a little while. ❤️

It feels like just yesterday we were bringing our sweet Elizabeth home, and now she’s already leaving those tiny newborn days behind and turning into quite the chunky little farm baby. She is, without a doubt, our chillest girl. She takes everything in with those big BLUE eyes and has some of the most expressive little faces that keep us laughing every day.

She already lights up when she sees her two big sisters, and watching their bond grow has been one of the sweetest parts of this season of life. Evelyn and Ellanor absolutely adore her, and she seems pretty convinced they hung the moon.

As much as I love watching her grow, this mama heart aches a little knowing how quickly these days pass. The late-night snuggles, tiny fingers wrapped around ours, and sleepy baby cuddles never seem to last long enough.

We’re soaking up every moment and every milestone, thankful for this precious little blessing and excited to see the amazing person she becomes. Until then, we’ll keep cherishing these sweet baby days here on the farm. 🤍

🥛 The milk fridge is a little fuller than usual this weekend!

We’ve got several gallons of our fresh, raw A2/A2 Jersey cow milk available! 🐄

A few of our regular milk families are on vacation, which means we have some extra farm-fresh goodness ready to go!

Our Jersey girls are producing that rich, creamy milk we all love, with that beautiful golden color that comes naturally from grass and forage.

💲 $5 per half gallon

🌟🐄 SUPER SATURDAY 🐄🌟

One thing we’ve learned through this homesteading journey is that the “super” moments usually aren’t the huge flashy ones… they’re the little everyday moments that turn into memories 💛🏡

Early morning chores with sleepy kiddos.
Fresh milk still warm from the barn.
Dirty boots by the door.
Animals running to greet us at feeding time.
Tiny hands helping collect eggs.
Sunsets over the pasture after a long day.

This life can be exhausting, messy, and unpredictable sometimes… but goodness is it rewarding 🥹

We are so thankful for every single person that supports our little family farm and allows us to continue building this dream one day at a time.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday filled with family, fresh air, and maybe just a little dirt on your boots 🌾✨

It’s been a long week here on the farm—full of projects, cleanups, chores, and those spontaneous rain showers that seem to pop up out of nowhere. The to-do list never seems to get any shorter, but somehow the work is always worth it.

Tonight, though, we’re slowing down for a little while. The girls are winding down, the animals are settled in, and we’re sitting in the rockers on the porch listening to the pond and watching the gorgeous clouds roll across the evening sky.

These quiet moments remind us why we love this life so much. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s full of simple blessings—rain on the fields, frogs singing by the water, a cool breeze after a warm day, and a front-row seat to God’s beautiful creation.

Sometimes the best part of homesteading is just taking a moment to sit still and appreciate it all. ❤️
