Using our Bed Fitter 30 cultivator today on gravel soils. It does the job without issue. Great for wide rows or open spaces between crops such as squash or pumpkins or in this case 36” wide rows making room for it’s use. Space is not an issue for us.

We have an opportunity to have these Planet Jr bolt on spikes being cast for us. Final cost will be $22 each and a full set of 40 would cost $850 hardware extra. If any interest is out there please let us know soon. Would take 50% deposit up front and final payment prior to shipping them out, run time will be about 6-8 weeks from the casting company. Our Bed fitter 30 is now ready to order. Custom built per order. This 30” wide bed finishing tool will not only cultivate but finish the perfect seed bed. Use it on wide row spacing crops like pumpkins or squash between the rows up to row fill to control all weeds, then plant a cover crop on that finished surface. Or if you have raised beds, simple drive down each bed prior to planting with this tool to gently work the soil and killing off a crop of weeds. A great stale bed working tool. Depth control is done using the adjuster handle that also acts as a transport position handle attached to the round bar roller/firmer. A video of it in action coming soon. Best used on dry soil conditions it can be used in high tunnels or gated gardens at only 35.5” wide it should fit into most spots. At only 110lbs it is easy to move around and turn the walk behind tractor simply by picking up and swinging around. Something new for the machine shop, a vintage Henley Machine Lathe belt drive, I know it is not new or it might not be fast but you know at least it was built to last and do a purpose. One of a few items I have wanted for a long time, price was right and I have time now to get it running for spring time. Should be a fun clean and redo project. Affordable fun. I hope.
